This book was published thanks to the assistance of the Amos Fund
for Encouraging Learned Persons and Writers
“Mystical splinter” – a book in which exist side by side two forms of art – poetry and painting.
The book contains within it five poetical sketches on the ancient and holy cities of Israel –
Jerusalem, Tsfat, Yafo, Tsipori and again Jerusalem.
These lyrical fantasies are imbued with aesthetic, expressionistic and intellectual visions
of these spiritual centers of mankind. Here are lyrical themes, metaphysical and
romantic images, negation of coercion, respect for history, religion and present
times in the country and belief in the spirituality of the holy land, Eretz Yisrael.
The publication of a book of this nature takes us back to the tradition of albums
from the late 19th – early 20th century that emphasize on the one hand
the soldering of different forms of art in the framework of one book,
and on the other hand, the possibility of their independent existence.
